To heck wth unicorns--here's the cover of Pegasus

Lifted shamelessly from Robin McKinley's blog--isn't it cool!

Coming this fall...with a sequel (assuming all goes well) in the works.

(minor quibble: I myself would wear something a little less trailing for meadow rambling)

  1. I had no idea she had another book in the works...I have sadly neglected my McKinley for lo these many years and I am behind. She needs to stop writing for a while so I can catch up!

  2. Oooh! Beautiful cover. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Meadow rambling takes us all at different times. Perhaps milady wast washing her clothes in yonder brook -- and was taken with raptures at the flight of the beast, and rambled after?

Man. I HATE how long it takes books to get here. HATE. How. Long.

  4. They say not to judge a book by its cover, but I really am drawn to how pretty this one is. Plus it's Robin McKinley - you can't go wrong with that combination.

And think of the poor person who has to do that girl's laundry -- all those grass stains to get out!

  5. Squee! And I love your quibble, Charlotte!

  6. You don't wear stuff like that while running through flower filled meadows? I would have put that as first on my list of things to wear :)

  7. LOL. I hadn't thought of it, but you're right. I'd probably opt for something less trailing. But as far as aesthetics go--perfect. :)

  8. Robin has a new book? With a beautiful cover? About one of my favorite childhood fantasy creatures?

    Sign. Me. Up.

This just made my weekend Charlotte!

  9. In the movie version, she'll rip that skirt off just above the knee and bound about fetchingly... But really, it is a gorgeous cover, and I am always up for one of McKinley's books!
