And I think kids wouldn't want to figure out in detail what was going on.

I think it's because my expectations were really high and it was just a middle book for me that made it so sad.Cindyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10285417085465806153noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1265120169320473011.post-9620654012850125692010-01-24T21:17:31.864-05:002010-01-24T21:17:31.864-05:00I know what you mean about the complexity of it--I...I know what you mean about the complexity of it--I quickly decided this was one of those books where I wouldn't be able to figure everything out, and kind of let it go over my head while I raced around with the characters. It's very much the First of A Series, in terms of explainations, which makes it a weaker book. But even though it wasn't everything I wanted it to be, I can imagine a certain type of kid loving it....Charlottehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11835101886202235868noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1265120169320473011.post-41169036773958085852010-01-24T19:56:54.684-05:002010-01-24T19:56:54.684-05:00I was really disappointed in Ring of Fire when I r...I was really disappointed in Ring of Fire when I read it. I wanted to love it because the idea sounded so good. But the whole idea of who the bad guys were, was just so complex that at times I couldn't figure out what the heck the Bad guys were or what they were doing.

I can't figure out if it was just not the best translation of it as it's original story is in Italian, I think that might have had a small factor in the complex issues.

I almost put it down when reading it but didn't and went all the way through but was sadden that it wasn't better :(Cindyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10285417085465806153noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1265120169320473011.post-88337500036747250982010-01-24T14:23:57.639-05:002010-01-24T14:23:57.639-05:00Enjoyed reading this review - really like the form...Enjoyed reading this review - really like the format of your blog. Thanks for commenting on mine. I don't know why it seems daunting to keep a list of books I've read. Now that I've posted the list on my blog, I hope it will motivate me to keep track.Megan Frances Abrahamshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02259684930983493989noreply@blogger.com
