It wasn't what I was in the mood for at the time (needed a quick, easy read), but I was enchanted by the quirkiness. So I stole it with permission and it's on my end table, waiting for me to have time to read slowly and enjoy. Thanks for the recommendation (and validation of my choice!). The ending shocked me so much (in a good way), that I had to go back and read the whole thing again from the beginning. I'm really sorry to hear that she died. I tried Jinian Footseer series and Mavin the Manyshaped, but I preferred her science fiction to her fantasy or horror. Now I discover she also wrote under a pseudonym and I'm all kinds of horrified I never knew...

I really loved GIBBONS DECLINE AND FALL, and just felt so smart reading it. (Also, in the days before Harry Potter, how smart did I look carrying around that tome??), but my favorite, favorite, favorite was indeed THE FAMILY TREE. It is hilarious, in that restrained Tepper fashion, and I love it.

I also see that BEAUTY was marketed in paperback for YA. I should review that, when the Cybils madness is over... AND I plan to reread this all, again, when the Cybils madness is over...

But, I should have known you loved Sherri Tepper, too. Of course you do. All the best people do.tanita✿davishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01671822274852087499noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1265120169320473011.post-83069675835832046332016-11-01T18:54:07.022-05:002016-11-01T18:54:07.022-05:00This sounds really interesting - I skimmed over th...This sounds really interesting - I skimmed over the spoilery parts but should come back after I read the book.Loryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08519976394732029323noreply@blogger.com
