I'm afraid most of them disappointed and I felt strongly they would never be published if they were submitted today. There were a few, though, that held up. I never read fantasy, so this is one I don't know. I'm glad you had such fond memories of it.Rosihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01294774973863802821noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1265120169320473011.post-27891656561937067352018-03-24T07:12:23.602-05:002018-03-24T07:12:23.602-05:00Yes, it is so great to be a reading child, because...Yes, it is so great to be a reading child, because you get so many more nice surprises along the way (if you have access to good libraries and used bookstores, of course....)Charlottehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11835101886202235868noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1265120169320473011.post-66432900607835494002018-03-24T07:11:22.059-05:002018-03-24T07:11:22.059-05:00you are a kindred spirit in that regard! I don't have vivid recollections of actual reading from my youth but I do remember the magic of finding those particular stories that I fell in love with (often in used bookstores or libraries). This is so true for me as well! And provides a reason for rereading, when logical minds say "no need to revisit something you already know." I still don't know myself very well, and I need to keep going back to those selves I found in the pages of a book, in an ongoing effort to collate and reconcile them all into who I think I really am or might want to be...

And this series is one I need to reread. I had mixed feelings about it somehow. But I did read it over and over, and desperately wanted to go to Wales, which I've still never done.
