I know it's historically accurate, but it makes me sad. But you are so right that the descriptions of the characters learning to do the bull-dancing are wonderful, and I love everything about the way Renault fills the gaps in the Theseus myth.Jenny @ Reading the Endhttp://readingtheend.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1265120169320473011.post-41291352926377294712013-09-29T06:39:00.274-05:002013-09-29T06:39:00.274-05:00The Bull from the Sea was too sad and dark for muc...The Bull from the Sea was too sad and dark for much re-reading. The only part I re-read much was the last little bit of bull dancing...even though that was awfully sad itself!Charlottehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11835101886202235868noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1265120169320473011.post-49973433434019383692013-09-29T02:45:12.314-05:002013-09-29T02:45:12.314-05:00I really should bump this up the TBR pile. Now that you mentioned that it has shades of The Hunger Games and Ender's Game, I'm even more curious about it. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, it's interesting to see how you notice different things when you reread an old favorite as an adult.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1265120169320473011.post-71125980734223408092013-09-28T22:13:12.296-05:002013-09-28T22:13:12.296-05:00What did you think of the sequel, The Bull from th...What did you think of the sequel, The Bull from the Sea?RM1(SS) (ret)https://www.blogger.com/profile/13101367196599109034noreply@blogger.com
