So, I think your mystery's solved! I'm just finishing the novel, and greatly enjoying the atmosphere Uttley creates. Hope you enjoy it again as much as I am now. I remember that many years ago it was dramatised for TV by the BBC, but I don't know whether a DVD is available.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1265120169320473011.post-47790962501516668242012-03-07T11:14:14.707-05:002012-03-07T11:14:14.707-05:00For years, I've been looking for a book I read...For years, I've been looking for a book I read as a child in which children travel back to Elizabethan England. It looks like this may be it. One thing I remember about the book, however, is that the song "Greensleeves" plays some sort of role. Is that the case with A Traveller in Time? Hope someone knows the answer and can solve this 45-year mystery for me!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1265120169320473011.post-87276471094422157542009-03-06T08:41:00.000-05:002009-03-06T08:41:00.000-05:00I am wondering if this was the first book I read (...I am wondering if this was the first book I read (when I was quite young) where I was aware that the outcome I wanted was not the way things had worked out in history. In my day Scottish schoolchildren were taught about Mary's troubled reign as if it were something that happened within living memory.

You are the second person I've seen writing about Uttley this week. This one sounds fun for those who like their fantasy to just get on with it, without so many pesky details of how.tanita✿davishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01671822274852087499noreply@blogger.com
