I had no idea she had another book in the works...I have sadly neglected my McKinley for lo these many years and I am behind. She needs to stop writing for a while so I can catch up!
Meadow rambling takes us all at different times. Perhaps milady wast washing her clothes in yonder brook -- and was taken with raptures at the flight of the beast, and rambled after?

Man. I HATE how long it takes books to get here. HATE. How. Long.
They say not to judge a book by its cover, but I really am drawn to how pretty this one is. Plus it's Robin McKinley - you can't go wrong with that combination.
And think of the poor person who has to do that girl's laundry -- all those grass stains to get out!
In the movie version, she'll rip that skirt off just above the knee and bound about fetchingly... But really, it is a gorgeous cover, and I am always up for one of McKinley's books!

Squee! And I love your quibble, Charlotte!
ReplyDeleteYou don't wear stuff like that while running through flower filled meadows? I would have put that as first on my list of things to wear :)
ReplyDeleteLOL. I hadn't thought of it, but you're right. I'd probably opt for something less trailing. But as far as aesthetics go--perfect. :)
ReplyDeleteRobin has a new book? With a beautiful cover? About one of my favorite childhood fantasy creatures?
ReplyDeleteSign. Me. Up.
This just made my weekend Charlotte!
