I am about to commence Mother Reader's 48 Hour Reading Challenge. I won't be able, probably, to read as much as I'd like to...life is tricky this weekend. But I will do my darndest to make a dent in my tbr pile of doom:
With a few exceptions, this is my personally acquired pile of books. I'm going to focus on these books for the weekend, in as much as my to-be-reviewed pile, which is mercifully smaller, gets priority the rest of the time!
It was both fun and disturbing to go around the house last night, gathering up all the mini tbr piles from the tops of various surfaces....
Wow that is some pile (piles?). I love the idea of you creeping around looking for books, like a scavenger hunt...I'll be joininng the challenge tomorrow.

Hehe, good luck! I have been planning and set aside 12 books for this but I think that might be a bit ambitious. I'm not starting until 8 tonight though when my husband is home to take over for the weekend. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are a braver woman than I. I don't know if I could stand the shock of seeing all of my TBR books together like that! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, now I don't feel so bad about my own piles. Best of luck reading!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear that, Kristin, becuase I had Doubts about exposing my Shame to the World. But I felt I should, as it might make others feel better....
ReplyDeleteNice pile! Mine is not nearly as impressive, but it's not a contest -- oh no wait, it is. ;-) But one I have no expectations of winning, so it's just for fun. I just finished my second book, woo hoo!
ReplyDeleteHave fun and only read the best of the best. If its just okay put it to the side for later, because it will slow you down.
ReplyDeleteGood luck
Impressive stack, there. I hope you can make a dent in it! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThose are some impressive piles. I feel much better about about my book stacks now that I've seen yours.
ReplyDeleteWow! That's a lot of books. Good luck.
ReplyDeletelove that pile! Can't wait to hear how many you get through!
ReplyDeleteNow that is a wonderful pile of books. Good luck and I can't wait to hear about them.
ReplyDeleteYour TBR pile leaves me speechless! LOL! Good luck and happy reading!
ReplyDeleteOn the bright side, you have a lot to choose from and you won't run out of books to read. Right?
ReplyDeleteTen years ago, I worried about not having enough books to read. I was a re-reader, a wanderer through bookstores who had trouble finding books to buy.
ReplyDeleteIn someways, those were simpler, happier, times, and I sometimes miss them.
I've had the same experience. And although it's lovely to never have to worry about running out, the pressure to read the new can be exhausting. And I don't get to know the books as well as when I used to reread all the time.
ReplyDeleteNow that's a TBR pile!!! I've made mine "feel" better by shelving many of the books I've meant to read or by - what the phrase? - oh, giving up on them. ;^)
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
